Angelina Jolie has spoken out in support of the right of Iranian women to "live and breathe without violence or threats" as protests over the death of Mahsa Amini continue in the country.
The death of the 22-year-old woman while she was in police custody has led to large-scale protests across Iran and deadly clashes between protesters and police.
In an Instagram post, Jolie, who is 47 years old, showed several photos of women cutting their hair and protesting in the streets.
Her last slide said, "Iran protests are on their 12th night." They began when Mahsa Amini, 22, died in police custody.
Since the protests started, riot police have attacked protesters with brutal force, and more than 70 people have reportedly died.
In her caption, the Eternals star wrote: “Respect to the brave, defiant, fearless women of Iran.
