A roach infestation has banned trick-or-treating in a Michigan hamlet.
The Wyandotte city council opted to cancel Halloween to avoid roaches from attaching to kids' costumes and entering more houses.
Although trick-or-treaters might kill the roaches, their eggs may survive, which concerned the city.
Wyandotte's engineer notified residents on Tuesday that walkways would be restricted on Halloween from 4 to 8 pm "to minimize roach migration."
"Barricades and signs will be installed on the roadway and sidewalks at Grove, Orchard and Pine, and Eureka," the letter stated.
WXYZ stated that people may have to wait a year for a full fix.
