How To Create The Perfect Daytime Smoky Eye?

People say that the eyes are the window to the soul, so getting your eye look right could be one of the most important parts of your makeup.

The 1920s popularized the smoky eye. Women were inspired by Hollywood's bold eyeshadows. The enigmatic appearance captivates.

Sunshine and heat cause sweaty eyelids and dissolve eyeshadow. A foundation beneath the shadows helps them stay.

First, clean your eyelids with micellar water-soaked cotton swabs. Then, prepare your lids with an eyeshadow primer to boost color and prolong wear.

Once you're ready, you can dab on a light brown or heather with copper flecks for a look that's perfect for daytime.

Use three shades and eyeliner for strong eyes. Using a flat brush, apply a shadow two shades darker than the previous one to your outside "V."

Repeat until your eye has the desired depth. Then, smear the same dark hue down your lower lash line to create a cat-eye shape.
