On Tuesday, Oct. 4, a Missouri woman died after a 31-year-old man threw her off of an overpass.
Witnesses called Columbia police about 6:30 p.m. to report a guy forcing a lady off Highway 63 near Clark Lane in the city's northeast.
A police spokesperson said cops discovered the lady seriously wounded under an overpass. She was hospitalized but eventually died.
Officers arrested a 31-year-old man from Columbia based on what witnesses said about him.
Investigators want him to be charged with murder for the death of the woman.
The suspect is violent, police said. Police say the guy was paroled in August after being convicted of stabbing a homeless man in 2018.
Police didn't say the woman's name because she had just died and her family hadn't been told yet.
